COACHING STORIES

These stories from my personal journey provide windows into the ways I can support you as a coach. They are examples of how I have approached and worked through some challenges in my own life.

Showing how Creative Coaching can be applied to some issues, these stories demonstrate how I coach myself. Insights from the stories have become important coaching principles for me.

“The Wholistic" Way story, for example, speaks of a quality of listening that we can bring to ourselves to manage procrastination and other challenges. Doing this can increase our understanding and acceptance of ourselves, and this can then direct us to the next action in service of our goals.

“The Basket” story describes some tools for getting unstuck and for managing strong emotions, like the ones generated from an inner critic.

Sometimes there is so much to do. Life feels like a fast train. And sometimes, I feel like only part of me is in the train and another part is running after the train, trying to catch up.
